Not pointing out or saying either act was illegal. Only that it was two nut jobs butting heads.
I am not and have never been a LEO. My avatar is in honor of my friend, Dallas Police Sargent Michael Smith, who was murdered along with four other officers in Dallas on 7.7.2016.

If I recall correctly... One of the residents of the compound did have access to and a permit for certain NFA items... Yet in the rubble the only ones recovered from the "compound" we're those issued to agents involved with the raid...that's because he wasn't there at the time. The same member also bought and traded military surplus items (camo pants shirts dummy grenades etc)at local gun shows and it what's "reported" to ATF that he was selling explosives and select fire weapons by an anonymous source... So they decide to roll up hot into a "cult" compound with a shoot first and ask questions later because they are manufacturing explosives and dealing in select fire weapons...

After that debacle they (ATF)change their name to get rid of the tarnished reputation and start over. Just like they did after Ruby Ridge...

I'm not saying everything is entirely true/false that's just my interpretation of what I've seen on tv and read in a couple articles... But someone comes rolling across my front yard shooting up my house or church I'm gonna shoot back in the interest of self preservation
