Thats some good stuff!!!USMC-COL wrote:Over time, I have named some of my holdings. My Marlin Guide Gun in 45-70 has always been "Thumper". My Remington LTR with its Leupold MilDot Tactical in .308 is named AT&T - it can reach out and touch something ... way out there. My Bushmaster is simply Bushy. My 1911 is Old Ironsides. My G30 is Baby Heuey. My Remington 870 that sleeps with me is simply Expresso. I don't have permanent names for my other long guns or handguns, except Trusty - like my d/c G23/32 or my BUG G33/27 or any of the others.
Thanks for the kudos. I bet "Talks a Lot" takes some serious money from your wallet in terms of .223 meals.stevie_d_64 wrote:Thats some good stuff!!!USMC-COL wrote:Over time, I have named some of my holdings. I have an Israeli friend (Police/EOD) who named his "AT&T", I think it was an Winchester, "Whisper" (translation)...But it sounded so much better in Hebrew...He's been a little busy lately...Maybe I can get him to send me the literal Hebrew name...
You gave me an idea about my AR..."Talks a lot"
I wouldn't mind going to war with my Marlin though...But thats just a silly pipe dream...
