It all depends on how good of a shot you are. If you've never done it before, hitting birds (clay or otherwise) on the fly is a different challenge.

Really, it's just standard American skeet with a lot of trash talk. If you're worried about "being competitive"... don't. It's all good fun and Andy will give you as many pointers as you want.

I'm gonna be tired by the time this is over. Due to a temporary change in my work schedule, I have to work 4pm to midnight Friday and Saturday nights. The good news is that I'll be working from home both nights. That will leave me an extra 2 hours for much needed sleep.

If you can point shotgun down range, yell "pull" and pull the trigger at Station 7 Low House you'll score at least 1.

I blew my back up again last Thursday lifting groceries out of the trunk of my wife's car, and I am experiencing pretty bad sciatica ever since. Not the first time, but usually it clears up faster than it has this time.

Don't worry about it. It will be fun. I'm pretty new to shotgunning, about 1.5 years now, and I will probably hit 12-15 the first round and hopefully 20-22 by the third round. Andy says the more you hit, the tougher it gets to get one more in each round. I don't think I've hit 22 yet, but it would be nice if I could do it with you all. I know some folks that can hit 99/100. Not every time, but occasionally.

What shotgun loads should we use, 7 1/2, 1oz, we do we need to install chokes?

7-1/2 is fine. I believe you can use anything smaller than 6. I shoot #8, 1-1/8oz, myself, and skeet chokes.

As for chokes, you don't want anything smaller than modified. Even modified is awfully tight for skeet. Improved cylinder or even cylinder would be better.
