Quick draw practice goes bad - yup a Glock

That was only because he had been doing it with his Glock earlier in the day and it corrupted him.jmra wrote:Idk, I seem to remember a guy making a YouTube video who shot himself in the leg quick drawing his 1911.Keith B wrote:Nah, everyone knows 1911 carriers are smarter than that.rotor wrote:I guess if it was a brand other than Glock we might expect a failure to fire. All those extra moving parts and thingies on the 1911 probably confused him. (In reality it was probably that Serpa holster along with switching weapon systems during the day.)
DocV, the light switched on. I get what you're saying now.

Yeah, but HE was from Georgia. You can take the redneck out of the state, but you can't.......DocV wrote:Actually this was in Waco. Yeah, I know....Keith B wrote:Remember, this was in Georgia. That is one of the states where the phrase 'Hold my beer and watch this' is frequently heard.

Au contrare Pierre, In my 12 years of running the IDPA club at my gun club there have been three NDs all by middle aged men shooting - - - - - wait for it!!!!!!!!! KIMBER 1911 PISTOLS! most of the Glock shooters seem to be serious gunners whereas new shooter MAWG and 95% of "veterans" with 1911s are totally brain dead when it comes to trigger discipline.Keith B wrote:Nah, everyone knows 1911 carriers are smarter than that.rotor wrote:I guess if it was a brand other than Glock we might expect a failure to fire. IT WAS A JOKE and a dig at Glocksters. I frequently carry a Model 26 or 19, as well as a 1911 or a Kahr PM9 depending on my mode of dress. I agree it's trigger discipline.MoJo wrote:Au contrare Pierre, In my 12 years of running the IDPA club at my gun club there have been three NDs all by middle aged men shooting - - - - - wait for it!!!!!!!!! That's why I carry a baby Glock. That way, if I accidentally let one fly during quick draw practice the bullet won't travel as far.
