At least 40+ states have open carry of pistols with or without a license required. Y'all need to relax about the concern over "threatening" hand gestures. :-)

I know OC of pistols will be new for Texas, but y'all will get the hang of it and it will be no big deal.

As long as you don't suddenly grab the grip and get a glint in yer eye you should be ok.

When you're carrying concealed or open carry: Don't allow yourself to get into a "heated argument".

As a pistol carrier, you don't have the freedom of getting into heated arguments.

If a situation arises that even begins to look heated, excuse yourself and walk away.

Your wounded pride and ego take a back seat when you're carrying.

I doubt it will be much of an issue outside of Austin and maybe San Antonio.
