How do I know if my barrel link is seated properly and in the correct orientation? How do I know if it is in the wrong orientation? Do ya'll still post pics of your babies?

No, it is still attached, I removed the barrel, guide rod all that good stuff to clean it. When I put it all back together, I am leaving the barrel link hanging downwards with the guide rod semi-cricle thing(technical name for it) against it. When I do this, the guide rod wants to get off track and I have to kind of put a little upwards pressure on the guiderod to slide it back into the slide. Is this corect? I can take a pic if it helps...
