It wasn't Jimmy Stewart in jail making a rifle that I remember? Say it isn't so.

I just watched this video the other day, right after it was released, and I was fascinated ... ESPECIALLY the part about hand-cutting the finished bolt, without any engineering drawings, because the dude had the precise measurements in his head.

It’s amazing that something that started life as it did went on to be the most produced US firearm of the war.The Annoyed Man wrote: Fri Apr 24, 2020 2:29 pm I just watched this video the other day, right after it was released, and I was fascinated ... It really is, and I’m very happy to have an example of the breed. My 1943 Inland, shown with my dad's 1943 Ithaca 1911A1, his sidearm in WW2.SigM4 wrote: Fri Apr 24, 2020 2:38 pmIt’s amazing that something that started life as it did went on to be the most produced US firearm of the war.The Annoyed Man wrote: Fri Apr 24, 2020 2:29 pm I just watched this video the other day, right after it was released, and I was fascinated ... I wouldn't want to design and build a gun on that timeline!

I do believe that Williams was the main designer of the Winchester Model 50.

I’ve never seen one of these until now, but I looked it up. It was a very clean looking design. Were they any good?bulletslap wrote: Mon Apr 27, 2020 10:02 pm I do believe that Williams was the main designer of the Winchester Model 50.
