Poor mans fnh. I handled one a few weeks ago a kid could very easily mistake it for a toy it's very plasticy and looks like a toy. I think it would be loads of fun to shoot absolutely.

I have been oogaling one for a while and wanted opinions.
My main concern is the kick .40 is a snappy round and the emp is not a big gun.

As far as special tooling you can get away with general tools the only thing I suggest is a hard and medium Arkansas stone for cleaning up the sear and disconector. There are a couple of jigs that would make life alot easier but with some good old fashioned ingenuity you can figure it out. I do ...

Are you sure the pin is not too large? I fit a Wilson safety in my Les Baer stinger, and i had to make the pin smaller with very fine sandpaper.
Also, make sure you smooth the back side of the safety down really good, or you can scratch your 1911's frame.
